Furniture I have made for my own needs and purposes as well as exhibition displays. Important was the connotative aesthetic and usefulness. The chest table is a light weight plywood table with a hollow base. The book table is a stable plywood table with a large area underneath that can be used as a book shelf. The lamps carry a japanese undercurrent in their design and associations toward modernism in the sense of Frank Lloyd Wright and Mies van der Rohe. I have been inspired by Donald Judd's resourcefulness in his own furniture building, too, and by my own background in jewelry making.
Booktable exhibited 2015 at Summaery, Bauhaus-University-Weimar.
